You should receive your Medicare Package from Social Security 3 months before your 65th Birthday month.

If you do not, you should call the Social Security Office at 800-772-1213 and request your Medicare Packet. You need to be registered with Social Security to know what you qualify for and to get the ball rolling with Medicare.  You can also sign up online at www.socialsecurity.gov

It’s important to make sure you do this a couple months before your birthday month to avoid any delays which could result in penalties. It will also give you time to review your options with all the different plans available.
